Each backpack had schools supplies including folders; notebook paper, colored pencils, a ruler, spiral notebooks, glue sticks and pens and pencils.

AT&T Pioneers plan to distribute more than 3,300 backpacks across Michigan this fall, according to Gavin Goetz, AT&T Michigan Executive Director of External Affairs.

“AT&T Michigan Pioneers are active company employees and retirees who volunteer their personal time to enhance the communities where they work and live,” said AT&T Michigan President Jim Murray. “Each year, they lead the ‘Tools for Learning’ campaign, raising money and buying supplies to support thousands of students heading back to school.”
